About
I am an Associate Professor of Anthropology at the University of California, San Diego. I received a PhD in Anthropology from Cornell University in 2013. Trained as a medical and psychological anthropologist, I have more than 15 years of research experience in the active war zone of Kashmir.
My research focuses on the psychic, social and political impacts of war and occupation, as well as how communities find ways of surviving and thriving in such conditions.
